COVID-19 Updates 3/12/2020

Child Care Aware® of America has been hearing from Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies and child care providers who are looking for information and resources to help deal with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. We also have been contacted by the media and policymakers about how the coronavirus is affecting child care providers. They want to know what’s happening in communities across the country and what providers are doing to prepare and protect themselves, children and families.
CCAoA will host a webinar on Tuesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. EDT to share the latest coronavirus and emergency preparedness resources from CCAoA, along with updates and advice from our staff. You will also hear from your peer Steve Rohde who will share what is occurring in Maryland around COVID-19 and the work that the CCR&R system is doing to assist the child care community and families in Maryland. In addition, the moderators will facilitate a discussion of what’s being done around the country at child care agencies and what people are doing to prepare and work with families.
